The premier sportswear division of Adidas, Adidas Consortium is collaborating with leading global retailers in 2017 to create new sneaker designs through the introduction of ‘Sneaker exchange’.
The program is aimed at pairing participants from Adidas Consortium 82 accounts to create a new product which will draw inspiration from Adidas archives, most of which will be unisex apart from selected ones that will be strictly for women.
Participants already signed to the program include, Tokyo’s based concept store United Arrow & Sons, Australian’s Sneakerboy, London’s Footpatrol, Paris’s Colette, Slam Jam, Packer, Kith and many more.
Every duo will create two silhouettes, with monthly new releases throughout the year, featuring a pack of two shoes from the collaborators – one old and one new, starting with the official launch during men’s fashion week in Paris later this month. All of the participating stores will be able to sell the special edition products.
