The popular Jordan brand is set to launch a brand new off-court performance shoe, named ”Jordan Fly ’89’.
The new model is heavily inspired by the Air Jordan 4, especially given the iconic side panel wings and the sneaker’s heel panel. The shoe’s upper is dressed in neoprene mesh which is characteristic of newer models of the Jordan line. The top also sports some synthetic overlays. Looking at the outsole, one cannot help thinking that lunar foam will be used, though as of yet there hasn’t been mention of any cushioning in the shoe’s design.
The Jordan Fly ’89’s slip-on upper and outsole unit give this retro a more contemporary look. The much-beloved lockdown wings, as well as the paint splatter midsole and the iconic back tab of the shoe, however, are reminiscent of the Air Jordan 4. On the heel and midsole of the shoe is the trademark Jumpman logo. The sneaker’s outsole is an attractive white speckled with black dots, with the word LUNARLON printed towards the back of the outsole.
Each pair of Jordan Fly 89 is expected to retail for $140 USD.
However, There has been no official launch date for the shoe from Nike.
